Aeschynanthus japhrolepis, commonly known as the Lipstick Plant, has lush green trailing foliage that grows densely along its cascading stems. With the correct care it can also produce striking, tubular flowers that emerge from dark maroon buds, resembling a tube of lipstick, hence its name. These plants are best displayed in hanging baskets or as a trailing accent on shelves.

Water when it's started to dry out about a third of the way down in the pot.

When watering, thoroughly soak the soil until water drains out of the bottom of the pot. Discard any excess water in the saucer or decorative pot to prevent waterlogged roots.

It's important to adjust your watering routine based on the time of year and specific environmental conditions like humidity and temperature.
