What's not to love about this trailing semi-succulent vine?! Ceropegia woodii (also known as String-of-Hearts) features charming heart-shaped leaves adorned with a delightful green lace pattern, growing in opposite pairs along its trailing vines. The undersides of the leaves and stems are a pinkish-purple colour.

Also known as Rosary Vine or Chain-of-Hearts, Ceropegia woodii may not be a true succulent, but it shares similar water-storing capabilities in its stems. Taking care of this plant is really easy, and it can tolerate neglect quite well, making it an ideal choice for the low-maintenance indoor gardener!

When you receive your String-of-Hearts, the vines are intentionally coiled by the growers to protect them during transit. We recommend gently unfurling the coils and separating the vines. Taking your time and being patient is important to avoid unnecessary loss of vines. Although some leaf loss may occur, these fast-growing plants will quickly regenerate!

  • Ceropegia woodii thrives in bright light. Place it near a window where it can receive sunlight for a few hours each day.

Ceropegia woodii has succulent-like characteristics and prefers well-draining soil. When it comes to watering, it's important to allow the soil to dry half way down the pot between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so it's better to underwater than to overwater.

When watering, thoroughly soak the soil until water drains out of the bottom of the pot. Discard any excess water in the saucer or decorative pot to prevent waterlogged roots.

It's important to adjust your watering routine based on the time of year and specific environmental conditions like humidity and temperature.
