Due to their intricate leaf patterns, Fittonia's are also called the nerve plant or mosaic plant. There are several vibrant colours to choose from, including green and white, green and pink, orange and pink, and these almost neon lime and electric pink!

This compact and bushy plant has a low-growing habit, making it perfect for tabletops, shelves, or terrariums. The small, oval-shaped leaves create a lush and dense foliage and combined with their patterned foliage make them a real stand-out plant.

  • Fittonia's thrive in bright, filtered light but can tolerate lower light levels. Position it on a north-facing windowsill or in a humid bathroom or kitchen out of direct sunlight (which might scorch its leaves, turning them brown and crispy).

It prefers well-draining soil and benefits from consistent moisture without becoming waterlogged. Regular misting or the use of a pebble tray can help maintain higher humidity levels.

As it grows slowly and remains relatively compact, it makes a good terrarium plant planted with ferns and mosses.

Keep the soil fairly moist, but never soggy by always allowing at least the top 30% of soil to dry out between waterings.

When watering, thoroughly soak the soil until water drains out of the bottom of the pot. Discard any excess water in the saucer or decorative pot to prevent waterlogged roots.

It's important to adjust your watering routine based on the time of year and specific environmental conditions like humidity and temperature.
