This lovely little terrarium features a cork lid and contains two different Fittonia plants, moss and decorative stones (please be aware that the colours of the Fittonia's may vary from the ones pictured).
Sealed terrariums like this one create their own moisture, so there’s usually no need to ever water them again. This means they are perfect for the low-maintenance indoor gardener!
The plant's roots absorb the moisture which is then transported up the stems and into the leaves. The moisture is then expelled into the air and because it doesn’t have anywhere to go, it forms as condensation on the sides of the glass, trickling back down into the soil and then the process starts again!

Position somewhere with bright, indirect light. Never in any direct sun otherwise the plants will cook inside with the increase in temperature, and not too dark or the plants will get too weak.
Aim for somewhere with an even temperature, so not too cold and not too hot!
Take the lid off the vessel occasionally, to allow fresh air in and for the old air to escape. This is not entirely essential but it is advisable. Only do this for an hour or so at a time otherwise too much moisture will escape.
A small amount of condensation on the sides of the glass is perfectly normal and indicates that your terrarium is working well. If you notice too much excess moisture then wipe this off with a cloth before replacing the lid.
If the vessel looks dry then gently mist the sides of the glass before replacing the lid. Don’t overdo the watering as the plants can rot and die with too much moisture.
A happy plant will grow, so over time they will probably need trimming back or replacing with a smaller plant.
