Position somewhere with bright, indirect light - some direct sun is fine as long as it's not when it's too intense otherwise it can get leaf scorch. They also do well under fluorescent lights making them ideal for offices. Try not to let the leaves touch the surrounding walls too much as this can damage them.
The Pachira aquatica is drought tolerant, so only water when the top 50% of the soil is dry and make sure it's never sat in water as they can develop root rot very easily. Once every fortnight should be adequate through the spring and summer months, and less over autumn and winter.
