  • Position the Rhipsalis baccifera somewhere nice and bright but without being in too much direct sun when it's at its strongest as this can scorch the leaves. It's also tolerant of light shade.

These tropical cacti are fairly drought tolerant and store water in their fleshy leaves but they do need more frequent watering than desert cacti. Water more frequently in the warmer months, and always allow at least the top 50% of soil to dry out between waterings.

When watering, thoroughly soak the soil until water drains out of the bottom of the pot. Discard any excess water in the saucer or decorative pot to prevent waterlogged roots.

It's important to adjust your watering routine based on the time of year and specific environmental conditions like humidity and temperature.
